What will a treatment be like for you?During our first meeting, I will ask about your health and do some examinations so that we can agree the right treatment programme. This may include acupuncture, herbs, craniosacral therapy or a combination of these. If you’re receiving Acupuncture, you will lie comfortably on a treatment table. Of the three hundred or so acupuncture points, about six will be chosen to treat your condition, according to need. Needles may be inserted just for a few moments or left in up to twenty minutes. If you are receiving a Craniosacral Treatment, here again you lie comfortably on the treatment table, and I will make hand contact with different positions on your body. I may suggest doing some Craniosacral Therapy whilst Acupuncture needles are in place. This can support the action of the treatment. A herbal medicine may be prescribed following the consultation, or after acupuncture or craniosacral treatment. Nutrition has been covered in depth as part of the syllabus on various trainings I have done. Where it is relevant and appropriate, some nutritional advice may be given. |
